About LIORA

LIORA was founded by Michaela Mungcal with a vision to redefine what aging can look like. Through her connection with the senior living community, Michaela often noticed that moving into a senior home could leave residents feeling as though their independence, purpose, and meaningful life were coming to an end. She believed that aging should never mean the end of living fully. Inspired by her love for movement and wellness, Michaela created LIORA to help residents preserve their existing mobility, physical capabilities, and cognitive engagement while cultivating confidence, purpose, and joy. Every resident deserves opportunities to stay active, feel capable, and experience joy each day.

The name LIORA means “my light.” We believe every person carries a light within them, and it is our mission to reflect God’s light through our work. Through movement, wellness, encouragement, and empowerment, we strive to remind residents that they are still capable, still valuable, and still deserving of opportunities to shine. We don't believe aging should dim your light—we believe it can shine in a new way.
